[本文より] On September 22， eleven days after the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington， we left Japan for America， and returned on October 4， only four days before the bombing of Afghanistan by the US Air Force. We saw first hand an America which had been shaken up by terrorism. The aim of our tour was to study contemporary America， not only in the educational field but also in other fields including politics， economy， religion and the everyday lives of the American people.
